As a Warehouse Manager, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the high quality and performance of our vehicle cover selection feature, ensuring that customers have a seamless shopping experience. The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including inventory management, shipping and receiving, storage, and distribution of goods. The role involves managing a team of warehouse staff, implementing efficient processes, and maintaining a safe working environment. The Warehouse Manager will also collaborate with other departments, such as logistics, procurement, and customer service, to ensure the seamless flow of goods.
Responsibilities:
- Warehouse Operations Management
- Plan, organize, and supervise the overall activities within the warehouse to meet operational goals and targets.
- Ensure efficient utilization of space, equipment, and manpower to optimize productivity and minimize costs.
- Implement and improve warehouse procedures, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and implement inventory control measures to prevent stockouts and overstocking.
- Team Management:
- Lead, train, and motivate warehouse staff to perform at their best and ensure a cohesive working environment.
- Schedule and allocate work tasks among the team members, ensuring timely completion of activities.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback, coaching, and training to enhance the team’s performance.
Health and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices to maintain a safe and secure working environment.
- Conduct regular safety audits, identify potential hazards, and implement corrective actions.
- Provide proper training on safety procedures and the handling of hazardous materials.
Logistics and Transportation:
- Manage inbound and outbound shipments efficiently.
- Collaborate with transportation providers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
Quality Control:
- Implement quality control measures to maintain the accuracy and integrity of warehouse inventory.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to inventory or order fulfillment.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and other warehouse-related activities.
- Generate reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track warehouse performance and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field (or equivalent experience in Warehouse Management).
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team.
- Knowledge of warehouse procedures, inventory management, and logistics operations.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
- Ability to work under pressure, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a warehouse environment.
